Roux obtained his LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2007 after specialising in Intellectual Property Law and Advanced Labour Law in his final year.

He served his articles at the Cape Town office of top-tier commercial and IP multi-national firm, Adams & Adams and, after his admission as an attorney on 5 February 2010, continued to practice there as an attorney until founding his own practice.

During September 2010, Roux founded Roux Potgieter & Co. and also started lecturing tertiary commerce students on aspects of commercial and contractual law.

During early 2015, Roux Potgieter & Co. was incorporated into BM Attorneys to ensure that both firms may serve a broader variety of client's in a wider variety of law. In 2018 he formed Potgieter + Associates with Danell Wallace.

Danell Wallace

Danell Wallace is an attorney of law and professional mediator, based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Danell has extensive experience in family related matters such as divorce, protection orders and child maintenance cases and can also assist with conveyancing, commercial law, labour law and trademarks.

Danell obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Stellenbosch in 2011 before spending two years at Springer Nel, completing her articles from 2012 to 2014. Danell was admitted as an attorney in February 2014 and also obtained her right for appearance as an attorney in the Cape Town High Court.

In 2014, Danell joined a law firm based in Durbanville as an attorney before joining a law firm in Bellville from April 2016. Early in 2018 she partnered with Roux Potgieter and formed Potgieter Associates where she is now a director.

Passionate and energetic in the workplace, Danell has a keen passion for the law and respects the legal system as a fair and effective way of conflict resolution.

Adele Smit

Office Manager

Often referred to as the backbone of the firm, Adele makes sure that everything runs like a well-oiled machine. With a long-spanning career as a legal bookkeeper, Adele safeguards the firm’s trust account and manages all debtors and creditors.

Anton Wranz

Associate

After 10 years in the field of business, Anton decided to put his legal degree to use by serving his articles at the firm.

Anton was admitted as an attorney in 2019 and currently practices as an associate within the firm, focussing on Magistrate and High Court litigation, company- and trust registrations and various commercial matters.

Gerda Esterhuizen

Paralegal

Gerda has over 35 years’ experience as a legal secretary with experience in High-and Magistrates Court Litigation and trademark searches, filings and prosecutions.

Liam Hayes

Candidate Attorney / Vocational Trainee

Liam is currently serving his articles of clerkship under Mr Potgieter and hopes to be admitted as an attorney early in 2022. When he is not behind the law books, he is most likely out on the soccer field pursuing his second passion (after law, of course).
